WHO ARE WE?

Our team is a group of 5 junior M-school students at Loyola Marymount University with a passion for Japanese-American culture. Knowing that many small businesses have taken a hit to their sales due to COVID-19, we made our campaign, Domo Little Tokyo, to give “thanks” back to the Japanese-American community. Little Tokyo is an essential part of Los Angeles and Japanese-American culture, and the relationships and support through the LT community are something to be admired by everyone. 

 

Our mission is to gain support for the local, small businesses found in Los Angeles’s Little Tokyo.

 

The idea of bringing Japanese culture to LA for Japanese cultural enthusiasts to enjoy is a concept that can be traced to the roots of Little Tokyo, and is especially celebrated during the holiday Nisei Week in Little Tokyo.
